Square footage is only one piece of the picture. Every home is different, and Small Particle Cleaning (SPC) pricing is based on the overall scope and complexity of the clean.
A vacant home that has just completed remediation, for example, is typically much more straightforward to clean than an actively lived-in home filled with furniture, belongings and household contents.
Other factors that can affect pricing include:
Our goal is to price each project based on the actual work required, rather than relying on square footage alone. This allows us to develop a cleaning plan tailored to the home and its specific needs.
For projects outside our standard service area of Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland area, a travel fee may apply.
This fee is not intended to generate profit. It simply helps offset the actual costs of bringing our services to you.
Travel fees are calculated based on the location and may include gas for travel. We work to keep travel expenses as reasonable and transparent as possible.
We order the materials needed for your project in advance to ensure our team arrives fully prepared with everything necessary to complete the clean. You are only charged for the materials actually used on your job site — not everything we bring with us.
Because material quantities are estimated when your quote is prepared, your final material cost may be lower than originally quoted. If we use less than anticipated, those savings are passed directly back to you.
The condition of your home at the time of cleaning can have a significant impact on pricing. The ideal time for an SPC is before moving into a new home or immediately following remediation, before furniture and belongings are returned.
An empty or minimally furnished home allows our team to work more efficiently and access surfaces more easily, which typically means fewer labor hours and a lower overall cost.
Actively lived-in homes can absolutely be cleaned, but furniture, décor and personal belongings add additional surfaces and complexity to the process, which may increase the time and cost required.
For homeowners who are able to and want to be more involved, we offer the option to work alongside our team and help with portions of the SPC process. We’ll teach you our approach, demonstrate proper techniques and assign tasks that can safely and effectively be completed by you.
Homeowner participation can result in savings of up to 30% on labor costs when your work meaningfully reduces the number of labor hours needed from our team. The actual savings will depend on the project, the tasks you are able to complete, the amount of time you participate and how much professional labor is ultimately reduced.
Not every project will qualify for the full 30% savings, but any labor savings created through your participation are passed back to you.
As an added benefit, you’ll learn SPC techniques you can continue using to help maintain your home after the project is complete.
