Post-Remediation or Construction Home Cleaning

Post-Remediation Cleaning

Mold remediation, water damage restoration, construction, and renovation can leave behind fine dust and microscopic particles on surfaces throughout the home, even when the space appears visibly clean.


Our Post-Remediation Small Particulate Cleaning is a detailed, top-to-bottom cleaning process designed to reduce residual fine particulate matter and create a cleaner indoor environment after remediation, renovation, or other dust-producing work.


  • 1. Initial HEPA Vacuuming — Top to Bottom
    We begin by methodically HEPA vacuuming accessible surfaces throughout the designated cleaning area, working from the highest surfaces down toward the floor. This includes appropriate ceilings, walls, trim, baseboards, windows, doors, light fixtures, outlet and switch covers, and other accessible surfaces.

This first pass physically captures settled dust and fine particulate matter before additional cleaning begins.


  • 2. Damp Microfiber Cleaning*
    After HEPA vacuuming, appropriate surfaces are carefully cleaned with damp microfiber cloths to capture and physically remove particles remaining on surfaces. We continue working systematically from top to bottom and use fresh microfiber cloths frequently to minimize the transfer of particles from one surface or area to another.

 

  •  3. Dry Microfiber Cleaning*
    Surfaces are then wiped with clean, dry microfiber cloths to pick up remaining moisture, residue, dust, and fine particles. Together, these first three steps—HEPA vacuum → damp microfiber wipe → dry microfiber wipe  → provide a thorough approach to removing settled particulate matter from surfaces throughout the cleaning area.

 

  • 4. HEPA Vacuuming Before Fogging
    Once detailed surface cleaning is complete, the area receives another HEPA vacuuming before AeroSolver is applied. This is an important part of the process because HEPA-filtered vacuuming should occur before final misting to reduce the potential for cross-contamination.



  • 5. AeroSolver Fogging — Capturing Airborne Particles
    Toward the end of the cleaning process, AeroSolver is applied as a wet fog/mist throughout the designated area. Unlike surface cleaning, this step focuses on particles that remain suspended in the air. AeroSolver's mist surrounds and captures fine and ultrafine airborne particles, weighing them down so they move out of the breathing space and onto surfaces where they can be physically removed. AeroSolver is designed to evaporate slowly, helping prevent captured particles from immediately becoming airborne again during the final cleaning process.


  • 6. Post-Fogging Surface Wipe*
    After AeroSolver is applied, surfaces are wiped to physically remove the particles and residue captured during fogging. This step is important: AeroSolver does not destroy or neutralize particles. It moves airborne particulate matter to surfaces so it can be physically removed through cleaning.



  • 7. Final Floor Cleaning
    Because the process is performed from top to bottom, and AeroSolver brings remaining airborne particles down onto surfaces, the cleaning concludes by addressing the lowest surfaces and removing particles that have settled during the process.


  • *Fresh Microfiber Throughout Fresh microfiber cloths are used and changed frequently throughout the cleaning process to help minimize cross-contamination and redistribution of particles between surfaces and areas of the home.


The result is a comprehensive process that addresses both settled surface particles and fine particles remaining in the air after remediation or construction.

What Areas of the Home Are Cleaned?

Our process addresses accessible surfaces throughout the designated cleaning area, including ceilings, walls, floors, trim, baseboards, windows, doors, light fixtures, outlet and switch covers, and other appropriate surfaces.

The exact scope is determined by your home, the type of work performed, and the areas included in your cleaning plan.


Is Small Particulate Cleaning the Same as Mold Remediation?

No. Small particulate cleaning does not remove active mold growth, correct moisture problems, or replace professional mold remediation.

Instead, it is designed to address residual dust and fine particulate matter after the underlying moisture source and contaminated building materials have been properly addressed.

Our goal is to provide a thorough final cleaning step that goes beyond what you can see—helping leave your home cleaner after remediation or construction.
